Description
"The Striped Moltentail inhabits the nocturnal wastelands of western Xikiago, using its luminous tail and mohawk to attract large prey. Its tail grows indefinitely, eventually splitting off and cooling down as pieces of tempered steel, which is collected by local rebel tribes to produce weapons and devices. When threatened it is known to stop and turn itself temporarily into a block of red-hot steel, scorching everything in close range. Also capable of spewing flames, most forest fires in the area are caused by Moltentails trying to protect their territory."

A living forge! This thing is both cool and practical! Even though I guess "cool" is literally the worst word to describe a fire(-ish) elemental, but still.
I bet that the smiths and technicians from the tribes collecting its steel imitate that mohawk. Except they're probably less majestic when they aren't glowing, but then again, it's hard to live up to beauty ideals. Especially from something that is basically living molten steel.
